Access Remodelers was founded by Bruce Hammer in 1993. Bruce started out as a Licensed Electrician and remodeling
bathrooms. Many of his jobs required him to install GFCI outlets for customers that were having walk-in bathtubs put in.
In 2004 Bruce's mother-in-law "Mom" moved in with him with dementia and a recent stroke. The experience he had
talking with customers and seeing his Mother-in-law struggle to live independent in a safe and comfortable home
prompted him to become a Certified-Aging-In-Place Specialist (CAPS). A CAPS is trained in the unique needs of the older
population.
Bruce and his talented crew are experienced in:
- Sales and Installation of Walk-In bathtubs, wheelchair showers, shower conversions, comfort height toilets and vanities.
- Sales and Installation of indoor and outdoor stair lifts and vertical platform lifts.
- Bathroom and kitchen remodeling for all ages: one source, design/build/install, plumbing, cabinetry, carpentry, tile work, drywall, painting, countertops.
- Specific task lighting.
- Quiet exhaust fans.
- Widen doorways for wheelchairs and walkers.
- Ramps.
- Grab bars.
- Converting a room downstairs into a bedroom.
